Our client is a global organization, named one of the largest in the Automobile industry! They are rapidly growing and going through a robust digital transformation.
The business and senior leadership have put a huge emphasis on technology initiatives and are looking for passionate team members to contribute to the growth and development of the technical environment.
This role offers a hybrid office schedule, you must be comfortable being onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Manager of Applications with a technical background in application development, leadership experience (vendors and technical resources) as well as having high-level oversight to IT application projects within the auto shop floor environments.
They would love to build a team around this person, allowing you to be the center of building out your own team!You will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of software applications that support our client s business operations (auto shop floor environments).
This role involves strategic planning, project management, team leadership, and close collaboration with other departments to ensure that our application portfolio aligns with the company's business goals and technology strategy.
Key
Responsibilities:
Lead the applications team in the design, development, and implementation of software applications within the shop floor environment.
Develop and maintain an applications roadmap in alignment with the business strategy and IT architecture.
Manage the entire lifecycle of applications, from requirement analysis to deployment and user support.
Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of applications.
Collaborate with business leaders to understand their needs and translate them into technology solutions.
Oversee the selection and management of technology vendors and contractors.
Manage application development projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
Implement best practices in software development, including Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Develop and manage the applications budget, including capital and operational expenses.
Ensure compliance with data privacy and cybersecurity policies and regulations.
Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
A Master s degree is preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in application development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Industry experience within the automotive, manufacturing or distribution environments is a HUGE plus.
Must have familiarity with shop floor systems and software (parts ordering, WMS, Repair software, Auto Management Software, etc.
) Strong project management skills and experience managing complex IT projects.
Proficiency in software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, DevOps).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and understanding of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS models.
Knowledge of application security practices and data protection laws.
Must be willing to travel on a quarterly basis to sites in the US Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a diverse IT team.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
